It's a...!!! {Gender Reveal}

I had my 18 week anatomy scan yesterday afternoon which we also found out what the gender was. I have been waiting for this appointment for WEEKS and about a half hour before my appointment, I started to get super nervous. I think it was a mix of being worried that Baby D isn't as healthy as we thought and that maybe he/she would be too stubborn and wouldn't show us the goods (which in turn would make me have to wait even longer!).

We went to a different office than we had with our previous ultrasounds. I chose this one because it was just down the road from my office. I went up to reception to let them know I was there, and they asked for a requisition form which I didn't have. I 've always had one for every other appointment, but when I was leaving my last ultrasound, they just told me to call to book my 18 week scan and didn't say anything about getting another requisition form.

I started to panic.

I already had somewhat of a lack of patience before pregnancy, but add the hormonal changes in with it, and I could have cried right there. Don't worry, I didn't.

The receptionist finally got a copy from my OB office and everything was fine, but we then had to wait 30 minutes in the waiting room. Do you know how uncomfortable it is to have to sit and wait with a full bladder? It's not pleasant.

Finally 30 minutes past my appointment time, we get called in. Our ultrasound tech was amazing. We later found out she was from the East Coast which automatically made sense why we clicked with her.

She did a couple of measurements and after a little while, she finally asked the golden question....

"So, you guys want to know what you are having?!"

It's a Boy!!! Meet Jaxon Daniel :)

Ryan and I were in COMPLETE shock. I would have put money on it being a girl. Whenever I thought about our baby, it was a girl. Even our family was sure it was a girl. But boy, did little Jaxon have us all fooled! When I called my parents afterwards, one of the first things my dad asked was how accurate it was (he was sure it was a girl as well but is over the moon to have a grandson!). I told him that the tech didn't even have to give me a percentage. She showed us his goods and he is most definitely ALL boy!

One thing I will say though, Baby Jaxon is stubborn already (just like his mama, I'll admit). When the tech was trying to get measurements of his face, he immediately put his hand up over his face and would not budge for over 30 minutes! She had me up walking around, moving my hips back and forth, drinking more orange juice, but mr man would not move his hand! So now I have to go back next week to finish which I am secretly happy about since this would have been our last ultrasound. But now I get to see him one last time before he makes his grand entrance into this crazy world :)
